I have been to Tokyo Akihabara and I really enjoyed riding the subway especially the Hibiya line and the Yamamote line thank you so much for this video :)
Its already been 7 months I rlly miss japan.......
I can't see his left hand moving.
My first visit to Japan at the age of 68 was only last month (05/2024), only a short 9 days in total. Best holiday of my life and a wonderful time there but why am I drawn to these videos, why is my phone ringtone now the Tokyo station jingle? I'm intending to get back as many times as I can while I still can as the journey from the UK is challenging to say the least.
いつまでも、寂しさのない東京でありますように

HAHAHAHA! Top Tier Comment! Thanks for the laugh and the support!
Why is the driver wearing a mask while sitting alone in the cabin?
Great obervation! Masks have been commonly used in Japan even before COVID. Possibly protecting himself or others who may be sick, after his shift is finished or when taking over the train controls from others.
Hey I’m wondering if you can do a Ginza Line Video
It’s summer break for us in July, so we hope we have time to film that for you! Thanks for the idea!
@@audioodyssey3412 alright!

My dream as a foreigner is to stabilize my life in some big city in Japan just to hear the metros, they are so satisfying
We hope that your beautiful dream becomes a reality! Thanks for watching! 🎉🎉🎉

Tokyo's railway lines look quite complicated. I wonder how people living in Tokyo find out which train to take somewhere.
It's quite easy actually! It's all integrated into Google Maps or Apple Maps. You'd be surprised!
I haven't been able to make it back to Japan for several years, and I'm apparently suffering from Tokyo train system deprivation; I ended up watching the whole video. XD めっちゃ懐かしい。。。 Thank you so much for this.
That's amazing! We made this video for people like you! Thanks so much for watching the whole video! We hope you can visit Japan again soon!
This is interesting to see how close the stations are to each other. You can actually see some of the stations already from the previous station, but when you have to walk that distance you realise it's not as close as it seems.
It's definitely a bit farther to walk from one station to the next, but Tokyo is definitely a walkable city, compared to other cities.
Looks like this rolling stock is already automated; the train driver doesn't seem to make many inputs on the controls. Well, good for them, one less stress factor to consider... 👌🏼
Full automation of the Yamanote Line is planned for 2028!
@KohyaSuechika: The Yamanote Line Jingles are still in my head even 4 years after visiting Tokyo. 💖💚🌐💌🚃🚙 #KohyaSuechika #Kohya Suechika #KansaiAreas; #KobeCity: #HyogoPrefecture #KantoAreas; #Tokyo 💖💚🌐
Amazing! We hope you can visit again soon to hear them in person!
It's crazy to think you don't really need a car (not saying that you can't) but it really helps getting around everywhere for cheaper. Having stations in every city like they do would do wonders for health and well-being in the states. Sadly the U.S. has a crime crisis on its hands at the moment. 😞
The convenience of the train system and the relative cheapness over cars definitely helps with the overall quality of life.
So awesome
Thanks so much for watching and supporting us!
If you ever find yourself needing access to the cabin, a firm bang on the glass can work wonders. I recently found myself in such a situation, where a courteous knock opened the door to the cabin for me. However, it wasn't without a bit of confusion initially. In a spirited exchange, I found myself explaining, with a touch of volume, that I hailed from America. Once the misunderstanding was cleared, I assumed control of the controls, much to the surprise of the driver. In a lighthearted moment, I even managed to get the driver in a gentle head-lock, which elicited laughter from me and tears from both of us. Despite the unexpected detour into camaraderie, we managed to navigate our way back to Tokyo Station in record time. Along the journey, I regaled the driver with anecdotes of my father's days driving steam trains in the deep South, all the while extolling the superiority of American rail systems. Though he may have been initially skeptical, by journey's end, the driver reluctantly nodded in agreement to my assertions. With a shared understanding and newfound appreciation, I bid him farewell, allowing him to carry on with his day.

That's fantastic! Thanks for sharing! It's missing the newest station though: Tamagawa Gateway

Any plans to release new videos?. I've moved to Japan last year, hopefully the weather gets better here in Niigata pref
Hi Felipe! Great to hear from you! Also congratulations on getting to Japan! That’s fantastic news! How do you like it so far? The weather has been strange this year! We have some short videos to upload soon, but long videos will need to wait until May or June when we’re on vacation. We hope you can look forward to them!
@@audioodyssey3412 Thanks, I really like it so far, I'm located in a small city. Summer is quite tough tho, very humid !. Great to know you have plans for future videos!
Looking forward to another round of summer? We hope you can prepare well for it ahead of time!
@@audioodyssey3412 summer is really tough here in Niigata, any tips? 😁
Kakigori dessert! Wearable fans or neck coolers! The new trend is clothes that have built in fans, that puff out when you wear them, like a pillow!
ダイヤ調整アナウンスが懐かしい。❤
I had an excellent experience on the Yamanote Line. So much so that I paid for the Densha de Go! game for PS4 so I could experience it again. However, it doesn't have the station jingles.
Wow amazing! You're a die hard fan for playing Densha de Go! Thank you for commenting and supporting us by watching the video!
That delay jingle at 12:52 is oddly satisfying
Ueno station jingle FTW!
@@audioodyssey3412UGH quite the opposite actually…that and Shin-Ōkubo have the most ear piercing jingles. I think my favorites are at Ōsaki.
Osaki jingle is quite nostalgic for us since we used to work there 🥲
Beautiful train stations, not like this trash we got in Europe and the US full of ugly graffiti, filth, and whatnot else degrading everything even more.
We hope you get a chance to come visit in person, if you haven't already!
I live in Tokyo, why would anyone want to relive this nightmare
Hahahaha! It's surprisingly quite common to be nostalgic for the Yamanote line, especially the ambience and station jingles!
As an American who visited Tokyo for vacation (one of the best trips of my life), I listen to this to mentally escape from the stressful environment of the states
We’re happy that our video could help in some way! It’s the simple things that can sometimes help with stress. 👍👍👍
Trust me. I come from a shit hole of a country. I’d trade places with you any day.
❤
This is such an amazing POV for an average person like me. Thank you for sharing this video!
Thank you so much for watching and supporting us with a comment! We hope to create more just like this in the near future!
3:56 The sign at the center left of the screen indicates that the departure of this train will be delayed. "延発" means the train departs late, and "1830" means the train departs at 18 min 30 sec. I guess the schedule was disrupted on that day due to an accident or something.
WOW! Thanks for the additional info! Aside from the construction going on near Shibuya station that day, I wasn't aware of an "accident".
the nostalgia i'm getting from this video is massive. just makes you want to jump on the next plane headed for tokyo. so many memories and so many lovely places. will be back.

I love this so much. And the comments about how much everyone loves and misses Japan echo my thoughts. I can’t wait to get back there. Question: is the driving lining up with red triangle (I think it’s a red triangle) on the gates to hit the right spot to stop ?
Thanks so much for the wonderful comment! We hope you can come experience it again in person! Not exactly sure about the triangles, some stations don't even have a safety gate right next to the track to put a triangle on.

Nippori Nishi nippori is so close in a distance to 2 stations it might take only 15 seconds
According to Google Maps, it's just a 7 minute walk!
I still randomly say Kanda and Shinjuku out loud in the train announcement voice. And people look at me like im crazy. If you know, you know.
We know :)
